Your Grace,

It is with the deepest regret that we have learned the passing of a great man and a great leader whose words and actions have inspired a nation and the whole world. He is no longer with us but he will live in our hearts and our souls forever. Nelson Mandela exemplified the meaning of Justice, Freedom and Peace and with his life he epitomised the full sense of Dignity and will continue to inspire humanity with his struggles, wisdom and values. 

We pray that everyone will have the courage to live up to his legacy.
His ideas and his moral values consist a bright example for our people, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, who are seeking the way to live together in peace and harmony.

His perception of the “other” will show us the way:  “If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner”.

May his memory be eternal.
